Changing conditions and changing times require that we constantly reassess the way we operate to ensure that we are making the best use of our resources.

For example, our public sales and donations of thousands of acres of old growth forest, combined with setasides required by our Habitat Conservation Plan, have significantly reduced the amount of large size logs coming in to our mills.

As a result, we have recently reconfigured our mills and upgraded our equipment to handle a higher percentage of young growth logs and changes in product mix.
