The Sustainable Forestry Initiative ®
The Sustainable Forestry Initiative ® (SFI^sm) program is a North American program that promotes sustainable forestry using internationally recognized standards for sustainable forest management.

This concept is based on the premise that responsible environmental practices and sound business practices are complementary. Our certification is based on rigorous audits by independent experts using internationally recognized sustainable forestry standards developed by and overseen by the Sustainable Forestry Board, composed of professional foresters, conservationists, and scientists as a standard for sustainably managed forestlands.
