Laurie A. Wayburn is the co-founder and President of the Pacific Forest Trust, whose mission is to preserve, enhance and restore Americašs private forests, sustaining their many public benefits. Ms. Wayburn has 25 years experience in conservation-based sustainable development, nationally and internationally. She serves currently on the Land Trust Alliance and Sustainable Forestry Boards and has served on those of numerous entities to further conservation and forest stewardship. These include the Seventh American Forest Congress, The University of California Center for Forestry, The Oregon Board of Forest Incentives Group, the US Man and Biosphere Committee for Biosphere Reserves and The Compton Foundation. Ms. Wayburn is a frequent writer and speaker on the topic of private forest conservation and incentives therefore, and most recently co-authored "Americašs Private Forests: Status and Stewardship."
