Gerald A. Rose. After graduating from Michigan State University, Rose spent 25 years in forestry with the Michigan DNR, the last 8 as Assistant State Forester. In 1987, he was appointed Director of Forestry/State Forester for the State of Minnesota and served for 14years. He is now a full time contractor for the National Association of State Foresters as Forest Sustainability Representative on domestic and International forestry issues. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Society of American Foresters.
